Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress as well as a director producer and singer. She is a beautiful and knowledgeable actress she serves as an inspiration to many Asian actors who wish to make it big in Hollywood. A series of successful early performances in popular TV series resulted in her being popular for her role in the show in Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. The actress took her initial fame into major screen roles in films such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She gave a stellar performance as Japanese O-Ren, a gangster from Japan (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. At the same time, her roles as an actor in films that failed at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter were equally prominent. Later, she became an actor in voice in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was an unimportant role which didn't have any impact. A recurring role in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland has helped her regain recognition as an established actress.
