Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineer. He graduated with an M.S. in the United States after relocating to the United States. After moving to the United States in 2004, he obtained an M.S. in materials science and engineering at Stanford University. After a brief stint at the management consultancy firm McKinsey and Co., Pichai joined Google in 2004 where he was in charge of the product management and innovation efforts for a suite of Google's client software products which included Google Chrome and ChromeOS as well as being in charge of Google Drive. He also oversees the creation of Google Maps and Gmail. In the year 2010, Pichai also announced the open-sourcing of the new codec for video called VP8 from Google and unveiled the new format for video, WebM. 2012 saw the introduction of Chromebook. Pichai further added Android to the Google products that he managed in 2013.
